I had a 8 hour layover in Paris and I was able to see both the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame - and still had time to do some souvenir shopping and bakery eating (with more than enough time at that)! Using the Metro was a bit overwhelming for me at first but with these instructions you can't go wrong!
Eiffel Tower:
Ⓜ️ -> Purchase ticket to Paris €10
RER B -> Denfert-Rochereau
* Don't exit! You're taking another line: 6*
LINE 6 -> Towards Charles de Gaulle Etoile
* Stop at Trocadéro *
Notre Dame:
Champ de Mars tour Eiffel -> RER C
Choose either of these 3 directions:
- Massy Palaiseau
- St. Martin d'Estampes
- Jourdan la Forêt
* Stop at St. Michele Notre Dame *
