Whether you're a seasoned traveler or someone about to embark on an epic adventure, one thing remains certain: having the perfect carry-on luggage setup can make or break your long-distance journey.
Picture this: effortlessly gliding through crowded airports, equipped with a sleek and functional travel companion that not only fits your essentials but also radiates an air of professionalism. It's time to say goodbye to cumbersome bags and embrace the liberating experience of efficient travel.
LO & SON'S O.G. 2
I don't want to make this a brand heavy post... but this bag is EVERYTHING! I have tried sooo many carry-on bags and nothing beats the size + functionality of the O.G. bag. I have carried this bag with me since 2015 when they first had the original O.G. and then upgraded to the O.G. 2 as soon as it came out.
I struggled to justify the price at first but after trying everything I cannot imagine myself traveling with anything else - it is the foundation to building a comfortable travel experience, and probably the most important {bold statement but I'll stick with it}.
I'll do a full review on it in another post.
How much would you pay for the perfect carry-on?
$100 or less
$150 - $250
$300 - $400
Cost isn't a factor
TOILETRIES
Keeps you fresh, burns some time. Each trip I pack a little bit differently... if I have a long enough layover to grab a lounge + shower I'll bring my own shower products (even though they provide) and if not, I pack products that I can use on the plan to keep me fresh.
This will vary person to person but I'll share my checklist with you just to spark some ideas...
Toiletries:
Toothbrush + toothpaste
Skincare: face wash, toner, moisturizer, face masks Deodorant
Perfume Hair brush Body Wipes Make-up: mascara, concealer, lip tint Hand/body lotion Tweezers
MISC: must-haves
Some odds and ends I've enjoyed having on flight with me that can be easy to forget.
I organize all these little items in my Béis seat organizer, it's more of a luxury item but if you have the budget I definitely recommend!
- Pen: filling out arrival documents
- Eye cover: for sleepers who need pitch darkness - no more waking up from cabin lights turning on
- Tissues
- Gum: helps with equalizing + feeling fresh
- Chapstick
- Socks: either fuzzies to keep your feet warm or compression socks to help with swelling
- Liquid IV + Vitamins: keep hydrated and the immune system strong
- Portable charger: anything from this brand is great.
ENTERTAINMENT
The flight of course has plenty of movies + shows to watch but if you're extra organized you can pre-download some of your favorite shows + YouTube videos to watch during take off and landing (because sometimes those 15 minutes feels a lotttt longer).
- Headphones: single jack headphones (for in-flight entertainment center) + AirPods/wireless headphones for your smartphone, laptop, tablet, etc.
- Kindle: worth it for many reasons but I weirdly love how I don't need to turn on my seat light to read. The Kindle I use here.
- Chargers: have your laptop + phone chargers easily accessible because some planes have charging ports - it's nice to arrive somewhere with fully charged devices. I keep everything organized using this.
THINGS TO LEAVE BEHIND
These are some items I use to bring, that after a few trips I realized weren't really worth the space they took up. That being said, this is totally personal and you will need to decide for yourself. ☻
- Neck Pillow
- Blanket: I get super cold on planes but they provide blankets + you can always request more!
- Passport Organizer: I got used to storing my tickets in my passport and tucking it in the front pocket of my bag
